Getting Ready for School
Getting Ready for School
🌞 A. My Morning Before School
Every day, children get ready to go to school. Some wake up early in the morning to have enough time to prepare.
When we prepare for school, we do many things that help us start the day right.
When you wake up, what do you do first?
Do you brush your teeth, take a bath, and wear your uniform?
Do you help your parents set the table or pack your school things?
Preparing for school shows that we are responsible and ready to learn.
For example:
“I wake up early in the morning. I brush my teeth, take a bath, and wear my school uniform. My mother prepares breakfast for me. After eating, I pack my bag and wait for my school service.”
Everyone’s morning routine may be different, but each one helps us begin our day properly.
📖 B. Reading a Story: “Liam Gets Ready for School”
Liam Gets Ready for School
It was early morning, and the sun was just rising.
Liam’s alarm clock rang. “Time for school!” he said, jumping out of bed.
He brushed his teeth and took a bath. Then he wore his clean uniform and combed his hair neatly.
His mother was in the kitchen cooking rice and eggs for breakfast.
“Good morning, Mom!” Liam greeted her with a big smile.
He ate his breakfast quickly, then packed his books and notebooks into his bag.
Before leaving, he wore his shoes and waved goodbye.
“I’ll see you later, Mom!” he said cheerfully.
Liam felt happy because he was prepared and excited to learn new things at school.

🧍♂️ C. Talking About the Story
After reading the story, we can talk about what happened.
The main character is Liam.
He is a cheerful and responsible boy who prepares for school properly.
The events in the story show what Liam did before leaving for school:
- He woke up early.
- He brushed his teeth and took a bath.
- He ate breakfast with his mother.
- He packed his school things.
- He left for school happily.
These steps are examples of how we can prepare for our own school day.
💭 D. Connecting the Story to My Life
Now, let’s think about your own morning routine.
Do you do the same things as Liam?
Do you also wake up early and get ready for school on your own?

Each of us may have a different routine, but what’s important is that we are prepared, clean, and ready to learn.
Just like Liam, we can show responsibility by doing our tasks before going to school.
You may say:
“I am like Liam because I also wake up early and pack my bag before leaving.”
or
“I am different from Liam because my father prepares my breakfast.”
We can learn from Liam’s story that being prepared makes our mornings easier and happier.
